POLICE MAN FLED AFTER SHOOTING STUDENT OVER N1000

Police Man sergeant Abua is allegedly on the run for shooting a student Sofia Ogogo at the Delta State Polytechnic and a civil servant Victor Emeagwai, at a checkpoint.

The victims were reported to have been in a Toyota Corolla driven by an estate agent Jerry Akinlabi, on Sunday November 17, 2017. One of the victims is his girlfriend while the other his fiend. A team of five Police men flagged them down at a check point including Abua. One of the Police men identified as Nwokolo demanded money from Akinlabi who was driving, who said he didn't have N200 to give him.

The Police man insisted that he would collect N1000 from the money Akinlabi had on him. Akinlabi drove off in disagreement then Abua reported shot at the car when a bullet pierced through the back seat and hit Ogogo who was sitting at the back, the bullet also grazed Emeagwai who was at the passengers seat.

Akinlabi was unharmed, he reported that four of the Police men were at the checkpoint were detained but Abua the shooter fled the scene. He reportedly took the victims to a General Hospital in Igbozo then called a senior Police Officer at Asaba who notified the state Commissioner of Police at Asaba. He said;

'The CP and the DPO of the Igbozo Police Station came to the FMC and deposited a sum of N100,000, but i have spent much more than that, meanwhile the Police Man who shot at us has dropped the gun at the Police Station and fled.'
